My work as a Level Designer:
Knowing the world and characters
-
Learning and Working with a new Editor
To be able to make the story, I first had to familiarize myself with the editor and read its documentation, learning how to use the AI behaviors as well as sequences of dialogue and expressions.
It is important in the video game industry to be able to adapt and learn new softwares that goes along the ever-growing technology.

-
Restrictions and Following Instructions
As a designer, part of the creativity comes from working with restrictions, whether they are technical or related to the game's universe itself.
While making Bonds and Blood, I worked with these restrictions:
-The story needs to revolve around family
-There must be at least one Quest Item
-There must be at least one battle
-There must be at least one Elite enemy

-
Credibility of the Characters
As a mission designer, it is important to know the characters and their personality to exploit them for credibility and consistency.

-
Guiding the Player
The starting point of the mission is atop a mountain, giving a clear view on the first objective to guide the player, and a road links the quest giver (Markos) to the destination.

-
Keeping the Main Quest in mind
Traveling and visiting new location is part of an odyssey, and I kept this in mind while making the story, guiding the player across the Greek World to discover its beauty.
